Obtuse Suits are a series of booster packs with 15 cards. The majority of the booster pack contains 14 cards that are similar to a traditional suit of U.S. playing cards. (Ace, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,Jack,Queen,King,Joker.) The common things that each booster pack has is a matching back-image and ranks that allow the cards to be played like a traditional deck of US playing cards. This allows players to mix and-match any 4 booster packs to make their own decks of playing cards with unique suits.

Each suit that was completed has 15 cards per booster pack. “Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, Joker, Info”

The Info Card has the suit’s main background one side and the basic info of the artist or suit’s stats on the other side of the card’s face.

There will be multiple colors of each suit when the suit’s theme allows it. (Black, Gray, White, Purple, Blue, Cyan, Green, Yellow, Orange, Brown, Red, Pink, Bronze*, Silver*, Gold*)

*The metal colors are not leaf gilded but just printed art illustrations to simulate metallic texture.

You don’t need to follow regular playing deck design etiquette to make your own suit. You can design the Ace, Jack/Knave, Queen, King, Joker face cards any way you want. You can make different suites for different projects or stages in your career. In fact you can think of this as another business to create you bespoken merchandise like those plushie or plastic figure businesses.
